Let the good times roll.....

Slushie anyone? We had a neighborhood garage sale so the kids put their heads together to start their own slushie business. Dyl and Parker are just "too busy" to pose for the picture. It was fun to watch them in action. They, of course, ate more than they sold.

The kids also sold a couple of their toys at the garage sale. What do you think they did with their profit money? You got it. They went and bought some one else's junk. Oh goody!

LAGOON!

We spent a fun-filled day at Lagoon (a local amusement park). We played in the water and laughed on rides until we were exhausted.

In the bottom picture, the one where Lexi looks like she's crying or in unbearable pain.... she's really laughing her head off. It was hysterical to watch her!

Yes, this is a bus. A big fancy charter bus.

I went to Young Women's (youth church group) camp and this, a big fancy charter bus, was their transportation. Uh, spoiled? YES. Apparently, paying for charter buses really was the cheapest route. Even cheaper than school buses. Go figure!

And yes, this is a cabin.....

If you are thinking that this nice cabin was for adult leaders only, you are wrong. Spoiled? Yes! The girls did some elegant camping this year. Mind you, inside was a concrete floor and built in hard-as-a-rock wooden bunk beds that lined the walls. Still fancy camping if you ask me. I do have to say, that as a leader, it was very nice to not have to worry about setting up tents and taking down tents with a bunch of teen girls. It was an amazing church camp and we had such a great time.

Oh what do you do in the summer time?

What's summer without s'mores? This is a sample of the fab photography by Parker. Don't you wish you could taste it right now? Mmmm. Soft-n-gooey marshmellow. Creamy melted chocolate. Crunchy crispy graham cracker. Tasty.

We picked strawberries at a local farm. We then brought home our tasty treasures and made a strawberry pie for Father's Day. Yum!

We also picked asparagus. We love asparagus with hollandaise sauce. However, Dyl couldn't wait to get home to taste the yummy green stick.....so he ate it raw. Eck!

Parker enjoyed his first Scout Day Camp. He took a few dollars to buy a souvenir...............he came home with a HUGE pocket KNIFE! Imagine, multiple rambunctious 8 yr old boys running around scout camp with pocket knives. Uh, ya, I'm scared!

Back yard camp out with Dad! One benefit of a back yard camp out is electricity for movies. Another benefit......................mom gets to sleep in her bed!

What's this you ask? My hair! This is a sampler from Lexi's photos. I chopped 5-6 inches off my hair......and.....I was a red head for a week. We were going for the strawberry blond look, not the copper top look. Don't get me wrong, red hair is beautiful. But my hair turned a bit too brassy. It's been a couple of months, I think I'm ready to give it another try! It's only hair, right?

We had a great time with Rob's sister and her fam when they came for a visit from the San Fran area in June. The kids fit right in at the Dinosaur Park. Oooo, scary! Then they came home to cool off in the sprinklers. Another day we went to Hill Aerospace Museum (Dyl calls it "the airplane city"). One of Dyl's favorite airplanes is this shark plane. Isn't his shark impersonation terrifying? :) The last picture is of the kids exploring the inside of a plane. This museum is free and has quite the extensive collection. We love it!

Alexia's Graduation

A BIG congrats to Lexi on her preschool graduation!

Our precious Lexi with her pre school teacher and class mate.

Lexi did a fantastic job singing her heart out. She was filled with great animation, facial expressions and actions for each song. She was so fun to watch.

After the graduation, we enjoyed Flourless Chocolate Cake with a fresh strawberry sauce at our house with a few extended family members.

Lex was excited to get a couple of congratulatory gifts. Our little model wanted to do a photo shoot with her new treasures.

We love our Lexi!

Hip Hip HOORAY!!

Staff Sargeant Caleb Fifield returned from Iraq on Memorial Day, May 26th. We had a fun time in the hanger with famiy as we waited for his arrival. We drew flags on faces and ate free food. But of course, the best part was when we greeted Caleb!
