Cinderella

Last month, Lexi and I enjoyed a ballet production of Cinderella in Logan at the beautiful and historic Ellen Eccles Theatre.
After the production, we were able to meet some of the characters and get autographs. Once again, Lexi was "star struck" and was too shy to pose with them. This is Cinderella and The Fairy God Mother.

And here we have the wicked step-mother and step-sisters. No your eyes aren't seeing things! It is tradition in Cinderella ballet productions for the step-sisters to be played by males. Lexi was full of questions in the beginning, but their hysterical characters quickly took her mind off of the weird looking step-sisters. Lexi didn't want to get any closer to them than this. However, Lexi's awed trans was noticed by one of the step-sisters and.................................

he/she bent down on one knee and presented her with a little bouquet of flowers he/she had taken from his own bouquet. It was the sweetest thing! And of course, Lexi walked away beaming.

Rob's mom was ushering at the ballet. We visited with Marie during intermission and she took us upstairs to explore the balcony. Despite our great seats, Lexi wanted to know why we couldn't sit "up there."

After the ballet, we walked down the street to Bluebird Restaurant. Bluebird first opened it's doors in 1914. We sat at the old-fashioned marble topped soda fountain bar and enjoyed some tasty old-fashioned treats.
