Hello Peanut!

Here's our little two inch Peanut!

You don't see much action in this clip, but Peanut is an active one. We caught Peanut waiving at us at one point.

I've had a different doctor with all my babies and each time the doctor says, "You have a very active baby!" Apparently, they are rambunctious from the very beginning!

While it's definitely not a unique name, there's a story behind our name Peanut.

Early on in my pregnancy, before the kids knew, we went to the library. The kids picked out their maximum allowance of books and off we went.

When we get home, Lexi shows me a book she chose. The name of this book is none other than "Hello Peanut!"

We sit down to look at the book together and sure enough. It's about a little girl asking her mom, "How big is the baby?" The mom replies, "As big as a peanut." With each turn of the page the mom's belly is a little bit bigger and the little girl asks the same question, "How big is the baby?" The mom replies with easily recognizable objects for the little girl. A dot, a peanut, a tadpole, a mouse, and the final and my personal favorite, "As big as an elephant."

Aren't we glad our babies really don't get to be the size of an elephant?! Even though we feel that way!

Lexi couldn't have chosen a more perfect book at the right time. She especially enjoys calling the baby Peanut.

That story sounds great! Emma informed me today that my belly is the size of a hippo's. Nice warm-fuzzy feeling that was. :)

So cute, I think Peanut is a very endearing nickname.
